Our Space

Our first floor consists of about 1200 sf. This includes:

  • A welcoming room

  • A caterer's kitchen

  • Restroom facilities

  • A formal dining room

  • Two front parlors

Our wraparound porch and two acre grounds are also available

Our Resources

Our space is very flexible in how it can be used.

We have multiple configurations of tables and chairs for use.

We have contacts for local caterers, florists, equipment rental, and alcohol service.

We can arrange setup or allow you to set up on your own.

Due to the historic nature of the property, it is not fully ADA compliant.

We offer specific rates for Social Events, Weddings, Business Meetings, and Nonprofit Organization Meetings.

Our Process for Event Rentals

  • Schedule a free introductory meeting and tour to view the property, discuss your needs, and get an estimate of the cost for your Event. Call or e-mail us (see the bottom of any page) when you are ready. The initial showing of the house and discussion is free of charge. Additional showings of the house before deciding whether or not to rent will incur a $25 charge per additional visit.

  • To schedule your Event with us, we require:

    • a signed rental contract,

    • a refundable security deposit,

    • one-half of the estimated cost as down payment 30 days prior to your event, with the balance due 14 days prior.

  • Parking is available on both sides of High Street, at the back of the house. Overflow parking is available in the lot on the east side of 1st Avenue at High Street (evenings and weekends only) and in the lot on the east side of 1st Avenue at Marion Street (anytime).

  • An SHF Board Member will be on hand at all times during the rental period, to answer questions and assist you in making your event the most unique and special event you envision hosting.
